In the Treta Yuga Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Hanuman and their troops of monkeys battled to rescue Sita from Lanka and on Ashvin Shukla Dashami Rama killed Ravana, the demon king who had abducted Sita. Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya on the same day along with Lakshmana and Sita. Ever since Rama's triumph has been celebrated as Vijayadashami or Dussehra.

Balkrishan Das ji Maharaj

Since the year 1945 Manohar Baba had been closely attached to Balkrishan Dasji Maharaj. Such implicit faith in one’s spiritual preceptor is a very rare phenomena in modern day Kaliyuga or the age of spiritual darkness.Therefore equating Hanumanji’s relationship with Lord Rama to Sri Manohar Baba’s bonding with Sri Balkrishandassji Maharaj would be no exaggeration.

One gets rid of a household's ten vices namely,lust, anger, delusion, greed, arrogance, jealousy, mind, intellect, will and ego represented by the ten-headed Ravana when his effigy along with Kumbhkaran and Meghnath is burnt with joyous abandon on Vijayadashmi.

Being inspired by Manohar Baba who led a highly disciplined and pious life, we can get rid of our shortcomings and be passionately drawn towards union with the divine which is the perennial quest of mankind.The grasping prowess of Baba in the fields of Yajurved, Karamkand and Ayurveda was so sharp that he passed the ‘Kavyatirtha Examination’ in Sanskrit with flying colours. In 1935, spotting his totally unselfish and Saintly mindset, the RSS requested him for social work and various philanthropic activities.

Lord Krishna

Quitting the RSS in 1942, Manohar Baba concentrated on daily worship of the Shivlinga by 108 belpatras, learnt Yoga from Guru Rangnaath, imbibed Gayatri Paath under the instructions of Great Mahatma Kulkarniji and performed many other religious observances.Honest and sincere to the core, he ardently longing for the darshan of Lord Krishna.
