Shri Manohar Baba was the one who noted down the padas (verses) which burst forth from Shri Maharaj ji's mouth when he had reached the heights of religious rapture.
In the year 1946 Manohar Baba got an opportunity to go to Mandleshwar (Madhya Pradesh) with highly revered Shri Maharaj ji. It is a town situated at a distance of merely five kilometres from Maheshwar, the birthplace of Baba.Shri Maharaj ji stayed at Shri Mangilal ji Munshi's place in Mandleshwar.
Soon after, Maharaj ji would lovingly go to everyone's place and get the kirtan done. With this practice an unimaginable turn came into the lives of countless denizens of that region. Simultaneously, several of the people had divine experiences while the kirtan was going on in full swing. One fine day Shri Maharaj ji went along with Baba to his house in Maheshwar(Page 359 of 'Smriti Kaumudi,'the memoirs of Baba Shri manohar Das ji)
Shri Hanuman Carrying the Sanjivani
In no way is the compilation inferior to the sanjivani (a life-giving herb)for spiritual aspirants. It is solely due to the indefatigable efforts of Baba that 27 of these verses have been published in a book by the name of 'Ali Bhaav Nirjhar,' which has a total of Maharaj ji's 210 padas.
Baba sequentially penned down the daily regimen of Maharaj ji's entire life in his diaries, which has been published in 'Charit Vaibhav,' a sacred text.
Maharaj ji's body had become extremely weak when he used to live in Ganga Mandir. Shri Manohar Baba and Dr.Hoti Chand were very apprehensive about hurting Balkrishan ji's feeble frame when they pressed his feet. The state of Maharaj ji's frenzied madness as he suffered pangs of separation from the divine, was steadily rising. And no one ever had the slightest inkling when Maharaj ji would wake up from these countless trance states.
Therefore Manohar Baba would keep awake for entire nights at a stretch. At times, others would be asleep since it was late at night but Baba would be sitting right in front of Maharaj ji and intently listening to his sermon.
“ You must listen because it is not me who is speaking. This sound is coming from somewhere else, for certain.”Shri Maharaj ji would say.
Shri Rang Nath Temple in Vrindavan
During those days elderly Durga Ma, a divine saint of the highest order, used to live in the Thakur 'Rang Lakshmi' Mandir of Vrindavan. Several times, she had had a vision of eternal Vrindavan where Krishna forever dwells. She had implicit faith in highly revered Shri Maharaj ji and used to frequently visit the Ganga Mandir for his darshan. Shri Maharaj ji would also venture to her residence for getting the remnants of bhoga (food) offered to her idol. Manohar Baba was fortunate enough to be a recipient of her loving tenderness and maternal affection, as well.
The Mahamantra
Baba used to tell us that Shri Maharaj would do sankirtan of the 'mahamantra' at night in a loud tone, without fail. The bhaktas of that area would ardently entreat him to do sankirtan at their place every day.Soon after, Maharaj ji would lovingly go to everyone's place and get the kirtan done. With this practice an unimaginable turn came into the lives of countless denizens of that region. Simultaneously, several of the people had divine experiences while the kirtan was going on in full swing.
