Mandleshwar
Once having
stayed in Mandleshwar for a month, Shriji came back to Shri Dham Vrindavan. Merely eight days passed by when he persisted on going back to Mandleshwar.
“ You have just been to that place and there is no reason to go back again. What will the people residing there say,” I reasoned.
Shriji turned a deaf ear to my suggestion.
“ If you want to come along otherwise I have to go,” he said, irritably.
Thereafter, Shriji started off. I accompanied him and repeated my request before reaching Mathura Station. but he was adamant.
I began thinking that Shriji's leaving for Mandleshwar in this abrupt manner must be having some distinctive purpose. We reached Indore the next day. W e were passing through the bazar when Shri Mangilal could be seen coming from the front. Seeing Shriji, he advanced hurriedly and caught hold of his feet. He had never touched his feet or any part of Shriji's body for the past five years. This attitude of his even
after having so much regard for Shriji was a matter of great asttonishment for us. It was the first instance of his touching Shriji's feet. (Later on Manigilalji told us that this touch of Shriji's feet had caused his body hair to stand on and he had had tremors for three days at a stretch.) We went with him to Mandleshwar. Mangilalji told us that ever since Shriji had left, he had been very restless, remembering him all the
time.
Lord Krishna
Sometimes Shriji flashed before his eyes and at other times Lord Krishna flashed instead of him.
“ You want to
enjoy more of worldly pleasure!” dark-hued Krishna seemed to say.
This continued for eight days and he went on remembering Shriji in this state of uneasiness.
Indore
Drawn by some unknown impulse he had reached Indore. Now I understood the reason of Shriji's coming back to Mandleshwar after just eight days. Staying here for three days, Shriji returned to Shri Dham Vrindavan.
Many a time Shriji would do such acts whose significance it was not possible for us to
estimate. Their results would make clear the reason of such acts. Whenever some prediction would unknowingly be uttered from his mouth, Shriji would try to cover it up by talking of sundry matters. Only after the work was done we would come to know that Shriji had predicted this.
We were once staying in Rameshwar Dharamshala at Rewa and sitting with Shriji at night.
“ Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatama Gandhi is going to be killed,” he said all of a sudden
There was no basis for this statement but this is exactly what happened after a span of four months.
Shri Deviji (left) with Shriji & Baba
Similarly when Shri Deviji came to Vrindavan Shriji did not know who all lived at her home.
“Did you have any brother?” Shri casually asked her one day.
“ Yes! He was about four to five years old when I left home,” she replied.
“ He has passed away.\,” Shriji said soon after.
When Shri Deviji's father came to Vrindavan in the future she came to know that he had died precisely at that point in time.
Shri Radharaman Mandir
Nimai Gosain used to live in the enclosure of Radharaman Mandir. His wife and he had great regard for Shriji. At times Shriji would visit their residence. One day, he and I went to their house. From the window Nimaiji could see Shriji coming and tried to tell his wife who was sleeping on the takhat or wooden
bed.
She did not move despite his saying, “ Maharajji is coming.”
The instant Shriji called out, “ Jai Radhe,” she got up hurriedly on hearing his voice.
Touching Shriji's feet, she explained, “ Several Mahatamas come to him. I thought it would be one of them. “
The Cow & Its Milk
Quickly she went in, milked the cow and heating the milk made Shriji drink it. Nimaiji was watching the scene in astonishment.
“ There is
such a big boil on her back that she has not able to budge for the past two days. I am very astonished as to how she could get up at once and start serving you. Look, she is sitting in front as if nothing has happened to her,” he told Shriji.
“
Maharajji! I don't know how your coming took away the pain,” Nimaiji's wife piped in.
Ever since that day her
boil was cured.
Once my mother had come to
Shri Dham Vrindavan. I had gone to escort her back to Maheshwar. The bhaktas of Mandleshwar wrote to Shriji at that very time, requesting him to come over.
Soon after, Shriji made up his mind.
The Train Chugged Off
Motiramji went to see him off at the
Mathura Station. The train had arrived and was about to start. Shriji ran
to board it but the train chugged off in
the meantime.
In a hurry he got on to the ladies' compartment. The TT or ticket
teller asked him to get down at once. Shriji got down and was about to board
another compartment when he fell down on the platform because of a jolt. His
upper body was on the platform and the lower portion was dangling on the
railway track. The train's wheels were hitting against his feet. Maharajji was
in a semi-conscious state whereas Motiramji started weeping loudly. In the
meantime, some unknown force threw up Shriji's legs onto the platform.
The guard showed the flag
and stopped the train. All the railway staff gathered around him immediately.
Shriji's body had been quite injured. His knees and feet were scraped and they
were bleeding. He soon became alert and getting up quietly began to
board the train again.
Motiramji held his feet.
” I will not allow you to go in this condition, he insisted as he wept”
Seeing him distressed
Shriiji stopped.
The Wheels of a Train
The station master and some
staff workers who were standing near Shriji said, “ It is very astonishing that
you were pushed back onto the platform. Usually the wheels of a train suck in
and pull a person inside. It is beyond comprehension as to how the reverse
happened. You take action against the TT, we will give the evidence. Besides,
we will also bear the expenses.”
“ I
was to get hurt and that has happened. How will I benefit by harming him? “ Shriji responded with a smile.
Soon after, he returned to
Vrindavan with Motiramji who administered some treatment to him. Shriji stayed for
just for a day and then started for Mandleshwar. After being treated for about
fifteen days in Mandleshwar, his wounds were healed.
Dark-hued Krishna Shoved Shriji Onto the Platform
One day while talking in this context Shriji had revealed, “ When my feet were hitting against the
train's wheels, someone shoved me onto the platform, all of a sudden. I clearly felt
the touch of somebody's hands."
There is no need to reveal who this unknown
touch belonged to.
