Usha Bahen ji Fondly Known as Bobo

Lord Krishna's playful dalliance unfolds in idyllic Braj Bhoomi. The in-dwelling Vishnu, manifests in this celestial land where it seems as if the delights of Paradise are reflected as if by a cosmic mirror onto its plains, fields and streams. Earthly Braj,  resonating with the footfalls of Krishna's amorous escapades, spreads joy and delight to its devotees. The forests, groves, bowers, Shri Yamunaji and Shri Giriraj captivate us with the Lord’s madhurya or sweet love, making us eagerly desirous to relish His divine play which is both real and illusionary, human and divine at the same time.

Romantic dalliances of Divine Incarnate Krishna constantly prevail in the nikunjas, banks of the Yamuna and at the wells. In the new millennium this ethereal land rejoices with tinkling anklets and resounds with the dark God fluting in its blossoming pastures. It is our vision which is blurred and ears deafened by worldly clatter…because of which we are unable to conceptualize the dark-hued god's divine play. Several dedicated devotees have sighted these dalliances and are doing so till date.

Lord Krishna with His Sakhas

Browsing through this literary work, one experiences the enchantment of Braj and glimpses of Lord Krishna’s amorous frolics and spirited antics with His sakhas. I personally opine that the text will be greatly beneficial in arousing the perennial quest of mankind for a divine and transcendental love where the descending God and the ascending soul become one.

Hopefully ‘Braj Bhoomi Mohini,’ freed from highly restrictive social constraints of religious sects will bequeath to us a vast visual record of His joyous abandon thus endearing Lord Krishna to all His bhaktas on an equal footing.
