Shri Hanuman, Son of the Wind God


Mangal-moorti maarut-nandan | sakal-amangal-mool-nikandan ||1||

pavantanay santan-hitkaaree | hriday biraajat avadh-bihaaree ||2||

maatu-pitaa, guru, ganpati, saarad | siva-samet sambhu, suk, naarad ||3||

charan bandi binvaaun sab kaahoo | dehu raampad-neh-nibaahoo ||4||

bandaaun raam-lakhan-baaidehee | je tulseeke param sanehee ||5||


An Icon of Good Fortune

Pavan Kumar, Shri Hanuman is an icon of good fortune. He is the one who uproots the cause of all vices||1||


Lord Ram Forever Dwells in the Heart of Hanuman

He is a son of the Wind God and works for the well-being of saints. Avadh Vihari Lord Ram, forever dwells in his heart ||2||


Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati & Ganesha

His and my parents, guru,Ganesha, Saraswati,Lord Shiva along with Parvati, *Shukdev ji and *Narada. ||3||


The Lotus Feet of Lord Ram

I make this entreaty while bowing at the feet of all of them, to grant me a boon of forever carrying on with my love for the lotus feet of Shri Raghunath ji, with the same fervour ||4||


Lord Ram, Lakshman & Sita

Finally I make an obeisance before Lord Ram, Laxman and Janki ji (title of Sita) who are the very essence of Tulsidas and most loved by him ||5||


*Shukdev: name of the son of Vyas who narrated the Bhagavata Purana to Parikshit.

*Narad: one of the four sons of Brahma, inventor of the vina and friend plus devotee of Lord Krishna.
