Chapter 64:Steeped in the Vatsalya Bhava, Shri Panditji Goes to Gaulok

Pandit Shri Gaya Prasadji

Panditji Shri Gaya Prasadji was a siddh, a self-realized saint, of the highest order. He had been residing for years in the Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir of Danghati, in the foothills of Shri Giriraj. He was 101 years old at this point in time. Shri Gaya Prasadji shared a very close and affectionate relationship with Shri Maharajji. Respected Panditji remained seriously ill for one month and three days.

Gaulok Dham

At 7:45 in the morning on 25th August,1995 he left for Gaulok[1]. His disciples Shri Ramdasji and Gopaldasji gave this news first of all to Venu Vinod Kunj by phone. Soon after, everyone began wallowing in the ocean of grief.

 Shri Goverdhan

Shriji was quite unwell at that time therefore he was not informed about Panditji's demise. Instantly on getting the news, we inmates of the Kunj went to Goverdhan. Ghanshyamji had to constantly attend to Shriji's needs that is why he had the last darshan of Panditji and returned by car to Shri Vrindavan Dham. In fact, Panditji had great affection for him. All of us stayed on in Goverdhan till the last rites were performed. Not seeing many of the other associates in addition to Ghanshyamji in the Kunj, Shriji asked where are all of us were?

Location of Goverdhan
In the meantime, Ghanshyamji turned up from Goverdhan and gently informed Shriji about Panditji's demise. Hearing this Shriji was very unhappy about his not being able to go to Danghati but he asked about the happenings that had taken place in Goverdhan.

Shri Thakurji said that there was not much of a crowd there at that particular time and merely 25-30 people were present; as per Panditji's last wish his funeral rites would be performed near the site where Shri Priyasharanji Maharajji's last rites had been done.

Aanyor

No,no! A multitude of people are thronging the place. A large grand procession is being taken out. Panditji's last rites will not be performed at the site you were referring to but in the lowlands of Shri Giriraj, towards Aanyor,” Shriji confirmed on hearing this.

No Maharajji! It is not going the way you are saying it will. There will not be too many people crowding the place and no procession will be taken out,” replied Ghanshyamji.

I am can see that a very big procession is in progress and an unlimited crowd is taking part in it too,” Shriji was firm in his affirmation.

 Shriji

When we came back from Goverdhan Shriji asked us about all the information we had. Indeed, everything took place in exactly the same manner that Shriji had said it would. All this is a proof of the fact that how these two great personalities were so profoundly and closely connected to each other.
