The Aug 2008 Calendar is astrologically a burdensome because we have two eclipses :--
i) 1st Aug, Friday, SOLAR ECLIPSE from 4 pm to 6.30 pm
ii) 16th August, SAT LUNAR ECLIPSE, at night 1am onwards to 4.30 am
The only antidote is to chant the glory of Lord Sri Hari's name or the akhand (continuous) Sri Hari Kirtan:
Hare Ram Hare Ram, Ram Ram Hare Hare ;
Hare Krishan Hare Krishan, Krishan Krishan Hare Hare
In particular, pregnant ladies and small kids must take precautions and not sight the eclipses with naked eyes. All are requested to be extra cautious.
Other important dates in the month of August are:--
A) MONDAY 4th August
